the night is slipping through my hands
Jul. 17th, 2019 08:56 pmI continue to read a lot of fic and not a lot of published books. Nothing is holding my interest well.
Finished Reading:
From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler by E. L. Konigsburg
Haha, remember back in May when I said this would be a quick read? I mean it probably would have been except I completely forgot I was reading it which I guess doesn't speak well of my enjoyment of it. I didn't feel the magic like I have for other Newbery Medal books but I probably just wasn't the right age to read it.
Now Reading:
The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden
I'm about halfway through this and it's fine but I'm not super into it. I'm going to keep going and see how it turns out. I already got the next two in the series because they were all on the library shelf together.
Failed Out:
Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer
Another YA that I heard people mention a lot but never read. I got about 30% of the way through this but it just felt like Percy Jackson except somehow without all the stuff I liked about the Percy Jackson series. But on that note...
Up Next:
The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan
I feel like giving this a re-read maybe.
