more of the story remains to be told
Nov. 4th, 2021 09:43 pmLife has been ridiculously busy. Things are finally slowing down a little and I've been doing some reading and TV watching.
Finished Reading:
Vicious by V.E. Schwab
Vengeful by V.E. Schwab
The Rain in Portugal by Billy Collins (poetry)
Dealing With Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede (re-read)
For TV, I got HBO Max for a month so I could catch up on the few things:
BBC Ghosts - I love this?! Ghosts from across the centuries are stuck together in this old house and it's just a lot of fun. I can't believe there are 3 seasons and we still don't know how some of them died!! I mean the seasons are only like 6 episodes but tell me what happened to Robin and Kitty! Apparently there is now also an American reboot as is traditional with half of BBC shows but idk if I care to watch it.
Titans (season 3) - This is honestly the weirdest show. Like the plot, the pacing, the constant back and forth of we're family so i forgive you anything/you betrayed me and you're dead to us, the strangest casting and characterization of Bruce Wayne. But I have waited forever for live action Tim and Kon and I do love Donna and Tim.
Young Justice (season 4) - I didn't realize we were getting season 4! Half the same cast as Titans but it is SO DIFFERENT. DC animation continues to be way superior to live action. Between this, Titans, and the new Wayne Family Adventures (a blessing), it's like whiplash between these characterizations. As always, I will take what I like and throw out the rest. I'm back writing in Batman/DCU and it's hilarious to see some people's takes of 'people shouldn't write without reading the comics!' Like I hate to tell you, but there is no consistency in anything in the DCU. Let it go.
